The INFINITI Q50 midsize car has been the best seller of the INFINITI line for 2017, but the 2018 model will take things to a whole new level. New for 2018 will be a significant update, including a sleeker exterior, an interiorredesign, a more ergonomic cockpit, and powerful powerplant options.
The INFINITI dealership Van Nuys will showcase the 2018 INFINITI Q50 and offer multiple exterior design options. The signature double-arch grille has been updated and highlights the front of the vehicle. Lighting at the front and rear of the Lease Volvo has been updated as well. Slimmer LED rear lights provide a sharper design while the LED front lights enhance the trademark “human eye” look.
Four New Vehicle Grades
Starting with this model year, there are four grades of vehicles. Each have its own unique look and styling.
- RED SPORT 400
New wood trims and double-stitch simulated leather will surround the instrument panel, giving the car an even more luxurious feel in the cockpit. A redesigned steering wheel offers molded positioning for thumbs and fingertip access to shifting paddles. The shift knob is now leather-wrapped, double-stitches, and embossed with the INFINITI logo.
Each of the four grades will have a unique interior design as well.
Spinal support seats have been specifically designed to provider drive support and lower pressure on the back. By distributing body pressure across the range of the upper seating surface, and customized controls, drivers can minimize pressure on back muscles.
The INFINITI Q50 instrument panel has an updated design to flow better from the driver’s seat. Drivers can access all key controls without having change position – stretching or moving out of your seat to make adjustments.
A Powerful Ride
With a choice of either all-wheel or rear-wheel drive, the 2018 INFINITI Q50 will feature four powerplant options.
- 400 horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6
- 300 horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6
- 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder
- 360 horsepower (net) 3.5-liter V-6 gas/electric hybrid
The V-6 engine is a technological marvel. Its lightweight aluminum construction, coupled with low mechanical friction, commands a smooth ride with high performance and response. The INFINITI V-6 engine is the most fuel-efficient engine the car maker has ever offered.
The twin-turbo systems can perform at a higher rpm than any previous engine. It features a turbine speed sensor allowing the engine to perform at 220,000 rpm and even faster in short bursts. This delivers more power and higher torque.
The hybrid engine has been designed with performance in mind while managing fuel economy. The electric motor provides instant torque for fast starts.
